Etudes Dance Studio,

a non-profit society, has

NO hidden fees, NO fundraising,

NO mandatory volunteering,

NO volunteering fees,

and NO mandatory competitions.

There are NO extra examination fees, seamstress charges, pianist fees, etc.

Etudes Dance Studio is a registered non-profit society and has been providing quality dance education in a fun friendly environment since 1987.

We teach children ages 4 and up in:

Stretch, Jumps, and Turns

and Performing Company

Dance classes are fun for dancers and stress-free for parents. For over 35 years, all dancers perform in the Spring Show in the spring. Performing in a theatre allows friends and family to see the dancers' hard work and gives the dancers the opportunity to perform on stage!

Ages are approximate. The placement of students into classes is based on the dancers' experience and teachers' discretion. Please talk to our staff and we will find appropriate classes for dancers according to their age, experience, and your schedule. Registration & Fees 2024/2025

JANUARY 2025 REGISTRATION:

Fees are subject to change

45 minute class: 2 installments of $185
1 hour class: 2 installments of $225
Registration fee: $40/year (per family) - please include Registration fee with first installment
Costume Rental/Production fee: $40/class (Please note: Jazz & Ballet, Jazz & Lyrical and Jazz & Contemporary, Ballet Intermediate, and Tap advanced will have 2 Costume Rental/Production fees)
Multiple classes are on a sliding scale (the more classes you take, the less you pay per class)

• Fees for registrations received mid-season will be assessed on an individual basis

PAYMENT INFO (January Registration):

Dance fees are payable in full with registration or in two installments. E-transfers are payable to etudesdancestudio@gmail.com. We also accept cash for payments in full.

With registration: $40 Registration fee (per family) + Costume Rental/Production fee + 1st Fee Installment
March 1, 2025: 2nd Installment

(Please note: Registration & Costume Rental/Production fees are non-refundable. Fees are subject to change. Fees for registrations received mid-season will be assessed on an individual basis.)

CLASS UNIFORMS:

Students must wear proper dance attire (bodysuits, tights, dance pants/shorts and dance shoes) to each dance class to enable their instructor to correct their posture and alignment.
Please look under "Dance Classes" for class uniform information.
Do not wear any skirts or jewelry to dance classes.
Attend all classes with hair off the face, in a ponytail, french braid, or bun.

ETUDES PICTURE SESSIONS:

• Picture Sessions will be held April or May 2025 with Scade Photography.

ETUDES SPRING SHOW:

• The ETUDES Spring Show will be held June 2025.

HOLIDAYS/SPECIAL EVENTS:

There will be no classes held during public school holidays, special events & PD Days

NOTES:

Notifications of cancellations will be made by text, email, phone, or in our monthly newsletters.
If there are any medical or other concerns that the teacher should be aware of, please inform the office.
Please respect the beginning and the end of class times and drop off and pick up your children on
time.
Please bring a small water bottle to each class (no juice, milk, or pop).
Sign the bottom of your dance shoes
Do not chew gum in classes.
All children should go to the bathroom before each dance class.
After classes, keep your muscles warm by putting on warm clothes.
If your child is feeling unwell, please keep them home until they are feeling better

Please be advised that ETUDES Dance Studio Association, the City of Edmonton facility rentals, and the Public School Board do not permit vaping, tobacco, alcohol, cannabis, or illegal drugs of any kind on school sites.

OTHER:

There will be a $30 fee on all NSF cheques and a $10 monthly late payment fee.

WITHDRAWAL WITH REFUND from classes is possible upon the receipt of a two-week written notice.

Please note that Etudes Dance Studio observes all statutory holidays. The City of Edmonton occasionally makes adjustments to booking to accommodate public school functions.

Notifications of cancellations or if a class will temporarily be held at another location will be made by phone, by email, or in our monthly newsletters.
